How the math works

Payback minutes = upgrade cost ÷ gain per minute. If gain is zero, payback never completes.

Wait minutes = time to afford the upgrade from current cash and income. If you already have enough cash, wait is zero. If income is zero and cash is insufficient, wait is undefined.

Net at horizon = gain × (horizon − wait) − cost. We only compare the two upgrades; base income and leftover cash after buying are assumed equal.

Results round to one decimal place for display; internal math uses full precision.
